As you may see, the boxes contain some contradictions. Originally advertised as 8ft tall, Gemmy quickly readvertised it as being 7ft long, with the former estimate being about 3ft off, and the latter being generous. In reality, the inflatable is around 5 ft tall, and is close to being 7ft long. The original 2004 box also advertised the Grinch having a straight forward head. On the actual models, the Grinch is facing to his right. Like the other inflatables released from 2001-2008, this is based on the live action film rather than the book. Ones based on the book would come in 2017.
